DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Hermann Suderow (Universidad Autonoma de Madrid)\nTh
e scanning tunneling microscope (STM) allows for a rather unique control o
ver matter at atomic scale. By measuring at very low temperatures\, it als
o serves as a spectroscopic probe of low energy phenomena\, such as superc
onductivity. As such\, the STM can measure all known features of supercond
ucting tunneling\, namely density of states\, inelastic tunneling\, Andree
v scattering and Josephson effect. I will review results obtained with thi
s technique and discuss recent insight obtained in atomic scale Josephson
 junctions and in unconventional superconductors.\n\nhttps://indico.unina.i
