Description

Galaxy clustering is one of the pillars of current cosmological parameter constraints, in particular for understanding the properties of the late universe and how they relate to those predicted from early universe measurements, in combination with cosmic shear observations. In photometric surveys, spurious correlations may be introduced by the spatial distribution of observational con- ditions and astrophysical properties over the sky. We make a short overview of how this problem is tackled in the Dark Energy Survey, as well as in other projects of its kind.
